For more than 10 years, the program in Nice has welcomed teenagers into the specialized teen summer program. They are mainly from Italy, Russia, the USA, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and New Zealand. We offer these young people the opportunity to have a direct contact with France and the French. We provide the essential active and dynamic techniques for the young students to build on their knowledge of French.
We always select our best teachers to offer these students a quality French course.

The program includes French language study in the mornings from 9:00 am to 12:15. Two full day excursion are included on the weekend and activities are scheduled every weekday in the afternoon.

This program is aimed at students who have studied the language for at least a year. It must be noted that complete beginners are not accepted. The classes are in groups of 8-15 students at an equal level of French and are based on active practical work and role-play, ensuring that the student gets plenty of practice in real French life as well as having fun! The our teachers specialize in teaching French to young foreigners and every student is encouraged to participate in class as much as possible.

Lessons begin at 9 am and end at 12.15, Monday to Friday, except on bank holidays. At the end of their stay, each participant will receive a certificate indicating their oral and written level in French, according to the standards set by the European Council. We make every effort to ensure that our students receive lessons of high quality, adapted to suit their needs. The program has a good mix of language and culture study, with supervised activities, to ensure that students learn and have a good time while they are in France.

During your stay, you will have every opportunity to speak French, the common language between you and your classmates. You will learn to live with respect for your friends, regardless of their nationality or their social and religious differences. You will come to appreciate and enjoy the cultural and linguistic diversity amongst your fellow students. You will contribute to the beginnings of a more humane society in a United Europe, creating a more tolerant and compassionate world.

There are four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking which need to be studied and developed from the start of the program. The emphasis on these four areas helps to enable the student to use their knowledge of the French language in day - to - day communication. An immersion approach to the language is used for all levels – this means that from day one only French is spoken in the classroom. This approach helps the student to become comfortable with the French language quickly. Teachers use authentic material in the classroom, role playing, and an adaptive approach to grammatical structures and vocabulary which become progressively more complex as the student advances between levels. At advanced levels different types of text are used to encourage the recognition and reproduction of different language styles

After the course, students will be given a certificate of attendance, stating their level and the number of hours of French language course.

Accommodations - Homestay

Homestay accommodations with families in double room. Students will have breakfast and dinner with their host families and packed lunch at school.

Host families are highly recommended in order to practice what you learn in class with your family at home, as well as to integrate yourself into the local culture. Many different types of host families are available, and we attempt to select the best match for each student. All families are carefully screened and must meet NRCSA and the local center's stringent requirements before being accepted as a host family. All host families are middle-class and live in homes and areas that are attractive and safe. Some are single parent families, others are traditional families, still others are multigenerational.
