For Ages: 13-17
Absolute Beginner to Intermediate French
Supervised Teen Camp
The rich and varied teaching program is aimed at teenagers between 13 and 17. We make every effort to ensure that we satisfy the concerns of the parents regarding quality teaching and opportunities to have fun, make friends, discover Paris and take part in sports and cultural activities.
The program includes French language study in the mornings from 8:30 to 12:30, and activities, such as sports, in the afternoons. One full day excursion and four half day excursions are offered per week. The program has a good mix of language and culture study, with supervised activities, to ensure that students learn and have a good time while they are in France. The teaching methodology was developed by highly qualified teachers, and is continually improved each year. Teachers understand each student's needs and encourage conversation in French and oral progress. This type of teaching is called Full immersion, which remains the main elements of the methodology.
Our teachers, all University graduates are fully qualified in the teaching of French as a foreign language. They are selected for their experience in teaching young people not only French but also art and sports. The teaching focuses on oral communication, using authentic documents such us songs, TV programs, movies, magazines. Our teachers have compiled a wide range of class games and activities that make the learning of grammar, structure, vocabulary and pronunciation interesting and fun. French classes take place in the morning from 9:30 to 12:30. Their are 4 lessons each day and each lesson is 45 minutes. On the first day of class students take a placement test in written and spoken French
Teachers are constantly reviewing course material and methods, and consequently finding new ideas for different programs. Students can either borrow or purchase the textbook you require in class. On the first day of arrival, you will pay a small deposit (which varies depending on the student's level), and at the end of the course you can either keep the textbook, or have the deposit refunded (unless the textbook has been damaged).
There are four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking which need to be studied and developed from the start of the program. The emphasis on these four areas helps to enable the student to use their knowledge of the French language in day - to - day communication. An immersion approach to the language is used for all levels – this means that from day one only French is spoken in the classroom. This approach helps the student to become comfortable with the French language quickly. Teachers use authentic material in the classroom, role playing, and an adaptive approach to grammatical structures and vocabulary which become progressively more complex as the student advances between levels. At advanced levels different types of text are used to encourage the recognition and reproduction of different language styles
After the course, students will be given a certificate of attendance, stating their level and the number of hours of French language course.

Paris, France - City Info
Le Rocheton is located on the edge of Fontainebleau forest, 30 minutes away from Paris by train. Close to the city of Melun, seat of the Capétien Kings, Le Rocheton lies in an area famous for its historical sites, its castles and its forest with ancient trees. With this location in the countryside, this residence is recommended for teenagers between 13 and 17.
The most tangible and immediate pleasures of Paris are to be found in its street life and along the lively banks of the River Seine. Few cities can compete with the cafés, bars and restaurants – modern and trendy, local and traditional, humble and pretentious – that line every street and boulevard. And the city's compactness makes it possible to experience the individual feel of the different quarters.
